Gun Safety & Familiarization Class
Whether you are interested in recreational shooting, competition, hunting, gun collecting, historical reenactment, personal safety, or home protection — start with the basics. The Vault Gun Familiarization Class will teach you the basic safety principles to help you begin the process of developing the knowledge, skills, and attitude that are needed to successfully pursue your shooting interests.
Gun Safety & Familiarization Class

The Vault Gun Familiarization Class will teach you the basic safety principles to help you begin the process of developing the knowledge, skills, and attitude that are needed to successfully pursue your shooting interests.
The class covers:
– Safe firearm handling
– Georgia law and codes
– Types of firearms (primarily handguns) their parts and operation
– Ammunition, loading and unloading
– Shooting fundamentals to include how to grip the handgun, sighting, and firing
– Generally recognized range instructions and commands
– Other range safety
– Corrective shooting practices
– Overview of gun cleaning
– Suggestions on how to select the handgun right for you
– Range time
Our basic gun safety and familiarization class is taught by one of our instructors and primarily covers handguns. The class includes three hours of classroom instruction followed immediately by one hour of hands-on experience on the range using our guns. A 3 day notice is required to re-schedule a class. If a student no-shows and no-calls then that class fee is forfeited. Two reschedules are allowed then the fee is forfeited. No classes can be cancelled or rescheduled the day of the class.
Carry Conceal Weapon Class
Our Carry Conceal Class is designed to teach students the fundamentals to safely and legally carry a concealed firearm. This class is designed to give you training on the realities you will face and may experience every day when carrying a concealed weapon. After taking this course, students will have the knowledge, skills, mindset, and confidence to carry their firearm safely and efficiently.
Carry Conceal Weapon Class
Our Carry Conceal Class is designed to teach students the fundamentals to safely and legally carry a concealed firearm. This class is designed to give you training on the realities you will face and may experience every day when carrying a concealed weapon. After taking this course, students will have the knowledge, skills, mindset, and confidence to carry their firearm safely and efficiently. We highly recommend this class to anyone who has their Georgia Weapons Carry License, or those wanting to get their GAWCL. This is a four hour course and will include three hours of classroom instruction followed by an hour of range time with the instructor. This course is not a beginners class. Basic working knowledge of firearms and firearm safety is required before taking this course. Please bring your own firearm AND holster with you to this class.

– Types of holsters and carry positions
– Drawing from concealment
– How to maintain situational awareness
– The fight after the fight
– Weapon retention
Range Activity:
– Drawing from concealment
– Point shooting and rapid target acquisition
Requirements:
– Must be 21 years old as of day of class
– Basic knowledge of gun safety
– Basic knowledge of range safety
– Firearm, holster, and 50 rounds of ammo

Active Shooter Response Class
An active killer can occur anywhere at any time. Are you prepared? Do you know the signs? Do you have a plan to survive? At the end of this 3 hour course, you will be able to define an active killer, list the phases of an active killer, list 3 ways of not becoming a victim, and list three ways to survive an active killer incident.

We recommend this class to teachers, hospital workers, office workers, and anyone who wants the knowledge on how to protect themselves and others in today’s world. Home Defense Class
Our Home Defense Class is designed to take the beginner to average pistol shooter to the next level. During the classroom phase, which is approximately a quarter of the three hour class, participants will be shown various techniques used in real-life crime scenarios, home invasion, and assault. Incorporating these techniques into practice, participants will be introduced to several more advanced shooting drills that can be practiced at the range.
Home Defense Class
Our Home Defense Class is designed to take the beginner to average pistol shooter to the next level. During the classroom phase, which is approximately a quarter of the three hour class, participants will be shown various techniques used in real-life crime scenarios, home invasion, and assault. Incorporating these techniques into practice, participants will be introduced to several more advanced shooting drills that can be practiced at the range. In order to fully realize the benefits of intermediate instruction, each student must either have a working knowledge of pistols or have recently attended our Gun Safety & Familiarization Class.
The Vault will provide a class rental gun if needed, however it is highly recommended you bring the firearm you plan on using for home defense. Ammo is an additional cost. A 3 day notice is required to re-schedule a class. If a student no-shows and no-calls then that class fee is forfeited. Two reschedules are allowed then the fee is forfeited. No classes can be cancelled or rescheduled the day of the class.
Defensive Pistol-Skills and Drills
This is not a beginner’s course. Students must have already completed either our Concealed Carry, Home Defense, or Advanced Shooting Fundamentals class, or have an advanced working knowledge of pistols and range safety techniques.

This is not a beginner’s course. Students must have already completed either our Concealed Carry, Home Defense, or Advanced Shooting Fundamentals class, or have an advanced working knowledge of pistols and range safety techniques.
In this class, students will combine many skills previously learned in live-fire range practice. Topics covered include:
– Proper holster draw
– Single-handed firing
– Point shooting
– Emergency and tactical records
– Emergency weapon malfunctions
– Shooting while moving
– Shooting from behind cover and concealment
– Low-light techniques and firing under low light
– Multiple target techniques, and how to transition between targets
Students will fire a minimum of 300 rounds in this class. Please bring your own holster, spare magazine or speed loader, magazine or speed loader carrier, and flashlight with you to this class. If you do not have these items, loaners may be available at the shop. Students will spend most of this class on the range, shooting drills specifically designed to test your abilities and show you your areas of weakness to improve your defensive pistol shooting. After taking this class, students will have practiced the real-world skills needed for defensive gun fighting.

Intro to Red Dot Optics
Designed for individuals who have already attended a basic handgun course, this class is for those with little to no formal instruction on the handgun red dot system. This course is intended for both civilians and law enforcement officers who may employ it in a defensive nature. Taught by current North Fulton SWAT team members who regularly conduct operations deploying the handgun red dot. This course will dive into detailed techniques on grip refinement, trigger control, presentation and vision/information processing and how those specifically apply to the handgun red dot system. This course will be both classroom and live fire on the range. We will conduct drills and exercises that will enable you to utilize the advantages of the red dot consistently and on-demand, when you need it most.

Ladies are encouraged to invite their female friends and loved ones since this course is designed to be a fun, informative and an empowering experience! By the end of the class, students will have developed their understanding of stance, grip, breath control, sight alignment and trigger control, and be able to demonstrate the proper loading/unloading procedures for their particular firearm.

What better location to introduce your child to the fun and exciting world of shooting than with the professional instructors at The Vault?
The Parents And Children Together or P.A.C.T class welcomes kids 8 years of age and older to learn to safely handle and shoot both .22 caliber rifles and handguns. Kids will be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. They will sit through a short classroom instruction where the instructor will focus on gun safety, gun etiquette, how to properly hold each firearm, what to do if there is a firearm present but no adult, and several other firearms related topics that concern kids and the safe handling of firearms. Kids and Parents will then accompany the instructor to the range where the fun really begins. Each student will be able to fire rifles and handguns, all under the close supervision of a VAULT Firearms Instructor. Students will be able to shoot from different distances and learn how to apply the classroom portion to the range. This class is a great introduction for kids to learn gun safety and be introduced to the world of shooting.
