IDPA

International Defensive Pistol Association

Founded in 1996, the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) oversees IDPA competitions, a handgun shooting sport focused on simulated self-defense scenarios. It emphasizes inclusivity and camaraderie among shooters of all levels. Participants use firearms and gear suited for concealed carry self-defense. IDPA's founders prioritized accessible equipment, fostering competition with minimal investment. With over 25,000 members across the US and over 400 affiliated clubs hosting regular competitions, IDPA is one of the fastest-growing shooting sports. Its primary aim is to evaluate individual skill and ability, prohibiting equipment not suitable for daily concealed carry.

The Vault hosts IDPA every Tuesday night at 6:30 pm. Please call for more information and if you would like to join the match.

PCSL

Practical Competition Shooting League Logo

Practical Competition Shooting League (PCSL), is a multi-gun shooting league with emphasis on two gun matches, utilizing handguns and carbines. PCSL combines the speed of points-per-second scoring, much like hit-factor and penalizes on accuracy. PCSL combines USPSA and old style 3-gun rules in a single rule format that is easy to understand and adaptable to different range or match requirements. PCSL uses a K-Zone target similar to a IPSC Classic but with the addition of a “K” scoring zone. At all distances the “K” zone requires 1 hit to neutralize the target in lieu of two hits on target. This emphasizes accuracy. PCSL is a multi-stage match format with matches having up to 12 stages where competitors navigate through the stage engaging targets ranging from 1 yard out to 200 yards. Competitors will see an array static paper and steel along with moving targets over the entirety of a match.

The Vault hosts PCSL matches on the first and third Thursday of every month. Please call for more information or if you’d like to join a match.
